Maintaining of the order related documents is resource-intensive and the challenges are traceability and the fast retrieval. In IMPERIUM LIMS attachments can be attached directly to a result or to the order. For example documents which are evidences for a results (such as distribution charts) or even the test request sheet can be retained in a central, easily retrievable manner. Paper-based archiving or dedicated document management is not required. You can mark which attachment shall be part of the report, so you can store yout internal use only documents in IMPERIUM LIMS, too. The "scanning" of paper-based documents does not require an external application because IMPERIUM LIMS directly handles most of the scanners.
